How did it happen?

I've always been a "pet person", I've had dogs, a cat, birds, fish, hamsters, guinea pigs, salamanders and even rats. That was in my younger days. I decided to go back to college in my 30's and then I found the love of my life, my husband. After getting married we bought a house in northern Carroll County. Working 50+ miles from home, a dog wasn't a good fit for us, we were away from home too much. So I began to consider what other pets might be a good fit, our home was so quiet with the kids having grown up and moved out. I came across some information about ferrets after hearing stories from a friend who has had several. I took my time to look into it and decided I wanted to rescue a fuzzie.

The search began and I found the Ferret Inn rescue shelter in Columbia, MD.

Though I haven't gotten my new fuzz-ball yet, (I have an appointment the day after tomorrow) and have poured endlessly over their posted picture gallery's and I can't begin to say how excited I am to find my new baby :)
